projects in Swaziland - |

Most of the projects
presently on-going in Swaziland are financed by trust funds from
donor countries or organizations, in particular The Netherlands
and the European Commission. It should be remembered that FAO
is not a funding institution and therefore provides the technical
assistance only after the approval of funding from various sources
for the projects it designed.
On the other hand, although FAO
is not a funding agency, it does mobilize some funds from its
own budget to carry out simple and short term projects under a
Technical Cooperation Programme. These TCP projects usually have
an emergency character or they may constitute a bridging assistance
for a bigger programme under preparation.
