Objectives of the sub-programme: To monitor the implementation of the World Food Summit Plan of Action through servicing of the Committee on World Food Security and drawing the attention of the international community to issues underlying world food security, and to promote enhanced international understanding of issues relevant to combating chronic hunger, managing risk and responding to food and agricultural emergencies.
