FAO Project GCP/SYR/006/ITA, a 10-year undertaking launched in 1998 and extended until October 2007, is one of the successful initiatives carried out in Syria within the framework of the FAO-Italian Government Cooperative Program.

يشكل مشروع الفاو GCP/SYR/006/ITA الذي سيستمر مدة عشر سنوات والذي بدأ في عام 1998 وسيستمر حتى تشرين الأول 2007 إحدى المبادرات الناجحة المنفذة في سورية ضمن إطار برنامج التعاون بين الفاو والحكومة الإيطالية.
Our Mission
The mission of the Project is to assist Syria in the process of modernizing its social market economy by providing tools for enhancing agricultural development. To this effect, the Project, through the continued and fruitful cooperation among Syria, Italy and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN, supported the establishment and development of the National Agricultural Policy Center (NAPC), a Syrian institution specialized in economic analysis applied to agricultural policies.
مهمتنا
تتمثل مهمة المشروع في مساعدة سورية في عملية تحديث اقتصاد السوق الاجتماعي لديها وذلك من خلال توفير الأدوات التي تساعد على تعزيز عملية التنمية الزراعية . ولتحقيق هذا الهدف فقد ساعد المشروع من خلال التعاون المستمر والمثمر بين سورية وإيطاليا ومنظمة الأغذية والزراعة للأمم المتحدة على إنشاء وتطوير
المركز الوطني للسياسات الزراعية NAPC والذي يعتبر مؤسسة سورية متخصصة في التحليل الاقتصادي التطبيقي للسياسات الزراعية.
Profile
The Project's architecture is based on four pillars: Institutional Development, Policy Analysis, Training, and Information and Communications. The NAPC is becoming a focal point in Syria for the analysis and communication of agricultural and economic policies.
