Activities

In accordance with the main objective - supporting Syrian agricultural development by promoting the establishment of the National Agricultural Policy Center - Project assistance has been of an adaptive nature, articulated around the following key components:

• Establishing the NAPC and promoting its sustainability as an institution specialized in applied economic analysis of agricultural policies;
• Conducting policy research studies and analysis;
• Developing human resources;
• Facilitating access to agricultural data and promoting communications with policy-making bodies and the wider public.

The Project's architecture was therefore designed around 4 pillars:

1. Institutional Development
2. Policy Analysis
3. Training
4. Information & Communications

The Project also cooperates with the NAPC to organize various events to promote awareness, encourage discussion, and further education around agricultural policy and applied economics issues.
