Fanny Lu

Fanny Lu became an instant hit in Latin America on the release of her debut album, Lágrimas Cálidas (Warm Tears), in 2006. In 2008 she released her second album, Dos (Two). The album and especially the lead single "Tú No Eres Para Mi" (You Are Not For Me) had amazing success across North and South America. Fanny Lu has received numerous awards. She received six Latin Billboard Music Award nominations in 2008, and in 2009 she was once again nominated for Female Artist of the Year under the Tropical Artist category.

Fanny Lu is profoundly committed to social and humanitarian issues. She has been active in promoting FAO and the World Food Day/TeleFood campaigns over the last four years, particularly in Colombia. She is now working on a new fundraising and awareness-raising project to support FAO in the Latin American region.
