Check out the newly updated Girl Powered Nutrition (GPN) programme:

About Girl Powered Nutrition

Girl Powered Nutrition (GPN) originally piloted with four of our Member Organisations in Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Tanzania and the Philippines, is now available for any of our Member Organisations to use. Through GPN young people learn about good nutrition, take action in their communities and use their voices to tackle malnutrition at a local, national and international level.

The Online Training for Leaders

To support Leaders to deliver GPN we have developed a short two-hour online training as well as a two-day in-person training, depending on their needs.

The Activity Packs

We have Activity Packs available in three age ranges (younger, middle and older) which are suitable for both girls and boys in groups of between 20-30 young people. We have also produced an additional Girl-Powered Change Pack for individual members who want to take their activism a little further, and with our Advocacy Champion Training (suitable for older girls), Leaders can set up groups of Advocacy Champions who can then train others through our peer to peer training model. To supplement Leaders knowledge, we also have the GPN Fact File – a trustworthy search engine of nutrition facts, verified by our partner, Nutrition International.

Once participants have completed the GPN Activity Pack, a badge is available for purchase from the WAGGGS shop and you can also add your participant numbers to our new interactive map!
