Capture the Zero Hunger Challenge in 30 to 60 seconds

Worldwide call for short food movies

15 Oct 2014

Have you ever thought about producing a video on food, nutrition, sustainability or hunger? Whether you’re a food buff, a student, an activist, movie geek or professional filmmaker, we have just the thing for you.

Short Food Movie is a global open call for videos inspired by the theme for Expo Milano 2015, “Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life.”  It includes a UN category dedicated to the Zero Hunger Challenge, which calls for videos about any of the five pillars of the Zero Hunger Challenge or the UN focus area for Expo 2015, women’s empowerment and gender equality. The call is open until 31 March 2015.

From amateurs to professionals, everyone is invited to submit videos produced with or without specialized devices from professional cameras, to iPhones or Androids. Upload your video on the Zero Hunger Challenge here!

A selection of the best videos will be presented at Expo Milano 2015 on the WALL, a huge digital installation in Pavilion Zero. The winner of the Zero Hunger Challenge category for the second phase of the competition will also be invited to Milan to attend World Food Day celebrations on 16 October 2015.

Take a look at “Tetris”, the most voted video of the Zero Hunger Challenge category for the first phase of the competition.
