Our office

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has had a representation in Zimbabwe since 1984. The FAO Office in Zimbabwe is located in Harare and has about 90 staff members. It houses both the country office and the Subregional Office for Southern Africa (SFS). The principal function of the Office is the overall identification, planning and implementation of FAO's priority activities based on the needs of the Government of Zimbabwe (Country Programme Framework) and within the mandate and the strategic objectives of the Zimbabwe United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (ZUNSDCF).
