Policy responses
To ensure a resilient foodvalue-chain, enhanced safety-net approaches at each stage are critical for ensuring actors can continue pro-nutrition activities at each stage e.g
1. The development of agreed-upon approaches to guide coordinated food and nutrition activities when movement restrictions are put in place during outbreaks - e.g provision of seeds to households to help during planting, when trade is not possible;
2.Through retailing, e.g. creation of temporary markets deemed safe.
