1. Stores are hiring additional workers to stock shelves and reducing shopping hours.

2. Stores providing a pay raise to those working to keep shelves stocked;                                   

3. Stores providing special hours when only vulnerable such as elderly and disabled are allowed to shop and/or ask shoppers who are able to come in person to stores to allow online for those most vulnerable.  

4. Supermarkets are requesting food manufacturers to make fewer varieties (such as fewer sausage types or bakery products) to produce more and more quickly

Pros Essential food supplies are accessible and available to consumers
Cons Some desired products may no longer be available to consumers because the production has been halted
Minimum conditions Coordination within the supermarket management to reach human resource demands. Good coordination between supermarkets and the manufacturing sector
Governance Food security and nutrition policies may be necessary should the situation become critical.
