Disease control:
- After samples were obtained from the market envionment, thorough disinfection was conducted.
- Nucleic acid test for all workers of the market, all customers since May 30 (those who can be notified and traced), all residents around the market, all residents in the communities of the positive cases, and all their close contacts. (Current testing capacity of Beijing is 90k cases/day.)
- Thorough examination of ag products (fresh, frozen meats and poultry, seafood), storage facilities, retailers and restaurants.
- "Closed management" of communities of affected districts as in last COVID outbreak period (February-March).
- School closing. Retailers enforce sanitary measures.

Supply chain:
- Establish 5 new marketplaces in Beijing for fruits and vegetables.
- Increase supply of fruits and vegetables to other wholesale markets.
- Push government stockage of fruits and vegetables to market.
- Extend business time of other meat markets.
- Most supermarkets have established their own supply channels in recent years. Some have been directly purchasing from producers. Upon outbreak, supermarkets work with suppliers to increase supply. Availability and price in these outlets have not been affected much. (It should be noted that supermarkets only occupy a small share of food supply in Beijing.)
- Encourage suppliers and outlets to establish direct links. This is called ""point-to-point"".
- Establish supply and price info network for distrct-level market managers to facilitate report and feedback from communities.
- Xinfadi wholesalers scramble to liaison with downstream and upstream players to secure supply, even if they are in quarantine.
