Guyana

Vegetation description

Mangroves spread along the Atlantic coast in brackish waters. The canopy is at best 20 to 25 m but often is as low as 12 m. The four Caribbean genera, Rhizophora, Avicennia, Laguncularia and Conocarpus, are represented.
