1. The Forty-Eighth Session of the Council was held in Rome from 12 to 23 June 1967, under the Chairmanship of M. Gemayel.
2. A.Y. Habtu (Ethiopia) and J. Silva Ruete (Peru) were elected First Vice-Chairman and Second Vice-Chairman respectively.
3. The Agenda of the Session as adopted, is set out in Appendix A to this Report.
4. The Council paid tribute to the late J. Tessi, Agricultural Officer, Plant Production and Protection Division, who died on 22 June 1967.
