CONGO, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF

The countryďż˝s food import requirement for 2005 is estimated at 480ďż˝000 tonnes or about one-sixth of total utilisation. The food aid requirement for 2005 estimated at 50 000 tonnes, is slightly reduced from the previous years due to the improvement in the security situation.
