El indicado Congreso se celebró en Yakarta (Indonesia) del 16 al 28 de octubre de 1978 por amable invitación del Gobierno de Indonesia. Las actas, incluidos los documentos presentados durante la Conferencia, se publicarán oportunamente.
Una sesión de la Conferencia se dedicó al tema 26 del programa: “Conservación de los Recursos Genéticos Forestales, Animales y Vegetales”.
