The above Congress is to be held in Ottawa, Canada from 17 to 24 June 1983. The Congress will consist of the following:

| - Seed Symposium | 20–23 |
| - Ordinary Meeting | 23–24 |
| - Post Congress Tours | 26–30. |
The Symposium will include a Session on recent advances in tree seed research (21 June).
