1. The Third Meeting of the Tropical Asian Maize Network (TAMNET) was held at the Hanoi Hotel, Hanoi, Vietnam, from 27 to 29 October, 1998. Experts from China, India, Indonesia, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam participated in the meeting, in addition to representatives of the Asia and Pacific Seed Association (APSA), CIMMYT and FAO. There were also observers from the private sector and Institutions of Vietnam. The List of Participants is given in Annex 1.
2. Professor Ngo The Dan, Vice-Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, was present during the opening session of the meeting.
