| An International Workshop on Perennial Sesbania Species in Agroforestry Systems, was held in Nairobi, Kenya from 27 to 31 March 1989. | |
| The Workshop, which was attended by 37 participants from 15 countries, was jointly organized by the International Council for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF) and the Nitrogen Fixing Tree Association (NFTA). | |
| The objectives of the Workshop were to assess the present state-of-the-art regarding the biological properties of perennial Sesbania species used in agroforestry systems and to define priorities, methodologies and responsibilities for collaborative research, development and networking. | |
| Workshop Proceedings as well as a practical Field Manual will be available by the end of 1989. | |
