SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS

The Fifth Session of the Codex Committee on Natural Mineral Waters reached the following conclusions:

MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION BY THE COMMISSION The Committee recommended to the Commission: - to adopt at Step 8 the Draft Revised Standard for Natural Mineral Waters as a Codex worldwide standard (paras. 10-59; Appendix II); and - to initiate the development of a general standard applicable to bottled/packaged waters other than natural mineral waters in view of the importance of these products in international trade (paras. 4-8, 60).
