One Hydrographical section was carried out on the delta between Alexandria and Port Said (Fig. 1). This revealed no stratifications in the upper 50 meters. The temperature was 19.1 to 20.4°C, the salinity 39.0-39.3‰, and oxygen 5.2 ml/l.
