The presence in Haiti since 2009 of Porcine Encephalomyelitis represent a threat to the swine producing sectors in the countries of the American continent. When this type of emergent disease enters a country, its rapid recognition by veterinarians and people related to swine keeping is fundamental for its contention, control, and elimination.
