The FAO Subregional Office for West Africa (SFW) is organizing the 18th Annual Meeting of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT-18), which will take place from 23 to 27 November 2026 in Conakry, Guinea, under the theme: “Water Management for Agriculture and Food Security in West Africa: Issues, Challenges and Opportunities”
The meeting will bring together FAO technical teams and country offices, government representatives, regional economic communities, river basin organizations, development partners, research institutions, civil society and the private sector to exchange knowledge, share experiences and strengthen collaboration around water management for resilient and sustainable agrifood systems.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, with English and French interpretation available throughout the meeting.
