Regional Priorities for FAO in Africa
In Africa, FAO focuses on four regional priorities that are tailored to address the unique challenges and opportunities present in the continent, and that are aligned to the FAO Strategic Framework 2022-2031:
- Sustainable agrifood production systems;
- Efficient and equitable food and nutrition systems;
- Climate action and sustainable natural resource management and
- Building resilience, ending poverty.

Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS)
