FAO AGORA creates new version of user guide aimed to improve knowledge and skills to access AGORA resources effectively and efficiently

Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture (AGORA), led by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is thrilled to offer a new version of the user guide, which will greatly improve users’ knowledge and skills to access AGORA resources effectively and efficiently through the new AGORA content portal.

The new AGORA content portal, launched on 1 July 2021, is the main hub for AGORA users to access free, or low-cost subscription based scientific journals and e-books in the fields of food, agriculture, environmental science and related social sciences. The new content portal aims to improve the overall user experience leading to an improvement in users’ ability to access available resources.

The new user guide provides in-depth information about accessing the new content portal, as well as how to navigate and search through it properly. There are step-by-step instructions, with accompanying visuals to ensure any new and current AGORA users have a great user experience while utilizing the new content portal.

In order to continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of agricultural research and education, it is crucial to increase the user experience while utilizing the knowledge platform and also work to enhance the overall accessibility of information. Making these resources of high-quality scientific information easier to access, will improve the ability to share findings, and inform about public policy decisions.

The new user guide is easily accessible on the fao.org/agora website and is also available here
