Inclusive business models – Training modules

The Inclusive Business Model (IBM) training of trainers package aims to improve the delivery and quality of results of smallholder-market linkage initiatives. The training orients development practitioners to take into account the needs of small producers and also buyers to ensure sustainable business models. The package guides trainers with the preparation and delivery of an Inclusive Business Model training for field practitioners. The entire programme can be followed, or sessions can be selected and adapted, depending on the project goals, local context or commodity. The packages contains tools for appraising a business model, identifying common upgrading priorities and designing an upgraded business model. Throughout the training, reference is made to the document Inclusive Business Models: Guidelines for improving linkages between producer groups and buyers of agricultural produce. Trainers may find this publication also useful for the delivery of the training.
