Modality: Self-learning | From 15-12-21 to 31-12-22

This course provides a guide on how to evaluate agroecology using the Tool for Agroecology Performance Evaluation  (TAPE) which enables a multidimensional diagnosis to be made in a variety of contexts. It explains how the analytical framework proposed by FAO was developed, what are its underlying principles, and what are its methodological components so that the student acquires the basic knowledge for its implementation in the field and for the participatory analysis of results.

The purpose of the course, which will be given entirely in Spanish, is to contribute to the generation of harmonized and relevant evidence on sustainable agriculture and the particular role of the performance of agroecological systems in Latin America and the Caribbean, through knowledge and dissemination of the TAPE multidimensional analytical framework.

At the same time, it is expected that at the end of the course the participant will know and understand the TAPE instrument, its structure, components and method so that he/she will have the basic knowledge for its implementation at the scale of a productive farm and/or region of interest.

The course is aimed at the global and regional agroecology communities of practice, including farmers, scientists, advocates, extension workers, policymakers and staff of NGOs and international organizations or funding institutions, as well as those interested in the subject.
