Crop diversification for pollinator conservation

A recent study highlights how crop diversification can support pollinator biodiversity in intensive agricultural landscapes. Practices like intercropping, cultivating flowering and novel crops, and reducing field sizes enhance floral resources and landscape connectivity, benefiting pollinators throughout their active periods. While not all species may benefit equally, these measures offer a promising path to conserve pollinators without removing land from production. Broader landscape-level studies are needed to fully assess their potential in reversing pollinator decline.
