Rangelands monitoring

FAO/Elias Chnais

Rangeland monitoring is an important tool as it helps understand how conditions of rangelands are changing in response to the environment and management practices. Monitoring provides scientific data for making management decisions. Land managers can learn whether their current range management plan is working and how to adapt to changing circumstances such as drought. This will assure sustainability of the land for generations to come.
