Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura ( FAO )
Desde principios del decenio de 1970 la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO) promueve, con el objetivo de aumentar la accesibilidad y la visibilidad de los productos de investigación en sus países miembros, el intercambio de información científica y técnica relacionada con todos los aspectos de la alimentación y la agricultura. La FAO, pasando de los formatos en papel a los digitales, y de las tareas de tramitación al establecimiento de asociaciones, ha establecido una serie de programas para apoyar estos esfuerzos y hacer que la información y los datos de las actividades de investigación sobre agricultura y ciencias conexas estén disponibles, sean accesibles y se puedan utilizar.
