Online Consultation for Non-State Actors
The FAO Regional Conference is an official forum where Ministers of Agriculture and senior officials from member countries of the region meet to discuss challenges and priority issues related to food and agriculture - in order to promote regional coherence on global policy issues.
Considering that meeting the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda involves leaving no one behind, we invite you to participate and provide your contributions to the process of defining the main challenges and priority areas of work for food and agriculture, to be discussed during the Regional Conference.
The proposed FAO priorities in LAC for 2024-25 are based on the current context of the region, the FAO Strategic Framework, the mandate received during the last Regional Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean (LARC37) in Quito in 2022 and the consultations in preparation for the next conference (LARC38) - to be held in Guyana in 2024 - held with the countries between April and August of this year.
The purpose of this consultation is to provide an open space for non-governmental actors from academia, civil society and the private sector to access official information, provide their opinions, comments and suggestions that will nurture the FAO Agenda in the region for the 2024-2025 biennium.
