Closing of the course: School feeding as a strategy for a healthy life (Spanish Only)

La tercera edición del curso Alimentación Escolar como Estrategia Educativa para una Vida Saludable, desarrollado por el proyecto Consolidación de Programas de Alimentación Escolar en ALC, llega a su fin con un webinar en vivo, el 18 de agosto, a las 3:00 pm (hora Chile), con traducción simultánea al español y al portugués.

Llevada a cabo por la Agencia Brasileña de Cooperación (ABC/MRE), el Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo de la Educación (FNDE/MEC) y la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO), esta edición del curso capacitó a profesionales de Colombia, Guatemala, Perú y República Dominicana. El evento contará con la participación de autoridades gubernamentales de los 4 países participantes y testimonios de estudiantes y expertos.

En tres ediciones del curso ya fueron capacitados más de 8 mil profesionales del área de alimentación escolar de la región. El evento será transmitido por la UNFAO en YouTube y por la cuenta de Twitter @FaoBrasilCoop.

El curso tiene el objetivo de fortalecer las capacidades de profesionales de las áreas de nutrición, educación, salud, agricultura y otras para el desarrollo, implementación y seguimiento de acciones de educación alimentaria y nutricional (EAN) en el marco de los programas de alimentación escolar (PAE). Además, busca promover la reflexión y comprensión acerca de la importancia de las políticas públicas de alimentación escolar como estrategias promotoras de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), de la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional (SAN), la educación, la salud, la nutrición, la protección social y del cuidado del medio ambiente, incluyendo en el contexto de pandemia y post pandemia.

El Curso Vida Saludable integra los compromisos de la Red de Alimentación Escolar Sostenible (RAES), implementada por el Gobierno de Brasil con el apoyo de FAO, para promover el desarrollo de capacidades y el intercambio de experiencias entre países para el fortalecimiento de los programas de alimentación escolar de la región.
