FAO, WHO, UNICEF, and partners have launched a new webinar series to facilitate learning among countries, regions, institutions, and key stakeholders on ways to engage, collaborate, and share best and emerging practices on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response through a One Health approach.

The webinar series aims to fulfil these four-fold objectives:

  • Engage countries, regions, institutions, and key stakeholders to collaborate and share best practices and emerging approaches.
  • Create an environment for learning to support countries and regions throughout implementing pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response -related activities.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing from pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response implementation, support technical solutions to common challenges, and identify transferable innovations applied during the process.
  • Leverage learning to guide key investments in pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response, informed by country actions, to strengthen their capabilities.

Hosted by  Project ECHO, interested participants are invited to join the first webinar of the series, entitled "Leveraging partnerships – for delivery", which focuses on experiences from Ethiopia.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Thanawat Tiensin, NSA director.
