During World Oceans Week 2021, public attention has been focused on the event’s central theme of ‘Life and Livelihoods’. This provided the ideal background for the IYAFA 2022 International Steering Committee to introduce the world to the International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IYAFA) due to be celebrate in 2022.
Hosted by the Peruvian Government, the IYAFA 2022 ISC organised a panel discussion made up of a diverse range of experts and practitioners working in the fields of small-scale artisanal fisheries and aquaculture, each of whom took the opportunity to answer the question: How can we successfully implement the IYAFA Global Action Plan?
