The Good Emergency Management Practice (GEMP) set out in a systematic way the elements required to achieve preparedness planning for any disease emergency in animals and is a reference document of critical principles that helped national Veterinary Services (VS) to standardize and improve countries’ capacities to respond efficiently, rapidly and adequately to animal health disease emergencies.
