The FAO Subregional Office for the Pacific Islands cordially invites partners and interested audiences to join the official launchof “FAO in the Pacific 2021 - Annual Report of FAO Subregional Office for the Pacific Islands”. The event will provide a unique opportunity to report the activities and achievements of FAO to the partners and donors in the region and to brainstorm future potential areas of collaboration and support.

The event will take place on:

  • 15 July at 10:30-13:00 in Samoa, Tonga, Tokelau,
  • 15 July at 9:30-12:00 in Fiji, Kiribati, Marshal Islands, Nauru, Tuvalu,
  • 15 July at 8:30-11:00 in FSM, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu,
  • 15 July at 6:30-9:00 in Palau,
  • 14 July at 11:30-14:00 in Cook Islands,
  • 14 July at 10:30-13:00 in Niue.

Format: The event will take place online with physical satellite events connecting from Samoa and Vanuatu.

About the FAO in the Pacific

The FAO Subregional Office for the Pacific Islands was established in 1996 in Samoa to coordinate the work of FAO in Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Republic of, Nauru, Niue, Palau, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. The Office is responsible for developing, overseeing and implementing programmes and projects to address food security, nutrition, agriculture and rural development priorities. The office develops and maintains relations with subregion-based institutions and entities.
