“Eurasia Dialogue” – a special platform for informal contacts among European and Asian politicians, experts, businesspeople, and journalists – has initiated the International Conference on Food Security in the Asia Pacific that will be held in Vladivostok, Russian Federation on 24 June 2016, under the patronage of FAO.

The Conference will discuss several aspects of the current state of food security in the Asia Pacific (with focus on the western part of the region), its sustainability, and Russia’s role in its achievement.

The conference agenda features two plenary sessions, a number of round tables and panel discussions and B2B meetings that will help conference participants strengthen mutual understanding, establish useful contacts, and generate fresh ideas.

Participants will include policy makers, the private sector and academia from Russia, China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, ASEAN countries, Australia, New Zealand, international organizations and others, in total approximately 200 delegates.

A regional food and agriculture exhibition, “Agrofoodexpo-2016”, will officially open on the eve of the Conference, 23 June, and will run until 25 June.
