Objectives

The overall objective of the workshop is to discuss the future plans on the protection of SALB in the APPPC region, with the following specific objectives:

• To update information and progress of SALB related programme in the rubber growing countries
• To report on the status of rubber pest and disease surveillance in the Asia and Pacific rubber growing countries.
• To update progress on capacity building and public awareness programme on SALB in the Asia and Pacific rubber growing countries.
• To gain deep understanding on requirements of establishing pest free area and recognition of pest free area.
