Objectives

• Familiarize ASEAN agriculture sector climate change focal points with their UNFCCC national focal points and the representatives of the ASEAN Working Group on Climate Change;
• Familiarize ASEAN agriculture sector climate change focal points with KJWA and the protocols of UNFCCC engagement;
• Review the outcomes of the AMAF discussion items on KJWA and COP24;
• Finalize principles and/or text for an ASEAN position on KJWA and possible submission on modalities for KJWA by the 22 October deadline; and
• Prepare a strategy for ASEAN delegations at COP24 to coordinate on agriculture sector issues and advance the ASEAN position on KJWA at COP24.
