FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific

This multi-stakeholder dialogue will discuss ways forward in mainstreaming biodiversity across agricultural sectors in Asia and the Pacific. It will also be an opportunity for consultation on FAO's Strategy on Biodiversity Mainstreaming across the Agricultural Sectors, supporting the on-going process to develop the Convention on Biodiversity's post-2020 global biodiversity framework.

July 17-19, 2019, Royal Orchid  Sheraton Hotel, Bangkok

Agenda and Concept Note

Given the urgent need to take action for biodiversity, it is timely that FAO is developing a strategy to strengthen its capacities to mainstream biodiversity across the agriculture sectors.

Regional Dialogue for Asia will take place in Bangkok, 17-19 July 2019. FAO Headquarters (HQ) and FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (RAP) are joining efforts for the preparation of this meeting. A stocktaking exercise was conducted to identify gaps and needs, and highlight regional experiences on policies, practices, and supporting incentives for biodiversity mainstreaming across agricultural sectors.
