The 20th Session of the International Rice Commission (IRC) was held on 23-26 July 2002 in Bangkok, Thailand. Proceedings of the Session, held every four years, are now available on the web, entitled "Sustainable rice production for food security". A number of papers discussed the role of biotechnology.
