Photo exhibition on the Role of Camelids in Nomadic Life

On the occasion of the International Year of Camelids, a unique photo exhibition was opened at the office of the FAO Representation in Kyrgyzstan. This event united lovers of history, culture and nature! The exhibition featured rare photographs from the early 20th century depicting the traditional life of the nomadic peoples of Central Asia. Special attention is paid to the role of the camel, an important companion of the nomads, which helped them to overcome the harsh conditions of the deserts and highlands. Visitors were able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past, seeing scenes of the nomads' daily life, work and leisure through the prism of their close relationship with these majestic animals. Everyone is invited to visit our exhibition and touch the rich heritage of Kyrgyzstan before 28 December.
