On January 18, 2024, CFS Chair Ambassador Jezile played a pivotal role at the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) in Berlin, where 61 ministers endorsed the GFFA 2024 communiqué, highlighting the crucial role of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS).
During the GFFA Plenary, Ambassador Jezile provided key insights on improving food security for vulnerable populations, calling for a commitment to inclusivity.
As a leader in the Right to Food discussions, Ambassador Jezile moderated a high-level panel in collaboration with FAO RtF team, focusing on "Realizing the Right to Adequate Food: Ending hunger and leaving no one behind." This panel showcased national experiences in applying the Right to Food Guidelines, marking the 20th Anniversary of their adoption by the CFS.
