Zero Draft of the Action Plan | Call for written inputs by 6 May 2024

The Zero Draft of the Action Plan has been prepared based on the outcomes of the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) meeting held on 7 March and on the written inputs submitted by CFS stakeholders: 

ZERO DRAFT OF THE ACTION PLAN

CFS stakeholders are invited to provide their written inputs on the Zero Draft to [email protected] by Monday 6 May 2024.

These inputs, together with the outcomes of the OEWG meeting scheduled on 29 April, will inform the preparation of the Final Version of the Action Plan that will be released in June.

Open-Ended Working Group meeting | 29 April 2024

An Open-Ended Working Group meeting will take place on 29 April 2024 from 9.30 to 12.30 in a hybrid format (German Room, C269, FAO Headquarters, and Zoom platform). Delegates that are planning to join in person are kindly requested to send their name to [email protected] by Thursday, 25 April COB.

The purpose of this meeting is to give an opportunity to all interested stakeholders to provide feedback on the Zero Draft of the Action Plan that has been circulated on 15 April.

Draft Outline of the Action Plan | Call for written inputs by 7 March 2024

The Draft Outline of the Action Plan has been prepared based on the outcomes of the Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) meeting held on 18 December and on the written inputs submitted by CFS stakeholders by 19 January: 

DRAFT OUTLINE OF THE ACTION PLAN

CFS stakeholders are invited to provide their written inputs on the Draft Outline to [email protected] by Thursday 7 March 2024. The inputs should: 

a) focus on the proposed structure of the document; 

b) propose additional areas of action that may have been left out from the Outline; and 

c) suggest how the existing areas of action could be further expanded or elaborated in the next versions of the document.

These inputs, together with the outcomes of the OEWG meeting scheduled on 7 March, will inform the preparation of the First Draft of the Action Plan that will be released in mid-April.

CFS stakeholders are invited to provide written inputs on objectives and potential areas of work to be addressed in the Action Plan. In this regard, written answers to the following questions should be sent to [email protected] by 19 January 2024:

1. Could you share your expectations in terms of desired outcomes and areas of work of this CFS workstream?

2. Could you indicate the main elements that would be important to include in the Action Plan?

3. Could you present concrete examples of uptake activities carried out by your constituency, including indications on their impact, challenges encountered as well as areas for improvement?

Kick-off meeting | 18 December 2023

A kick-off meeting will take place on 18 December 2023 from 14.00 to 17.00 in a hybrid format (Lebanon Room, FAO Headquarters, and Zoom platform). Delegates that are planning to join in person are kindly requested to send their name to [email protected] by Thursday, 14 December COB.

The purpose of the meeting is to analyze the expected outcomes of this exercise, share expectations, identify areas that should be addressed in the Action Plan, and have an initial discussion on roles and responsibilities of different CFS stakeholders.
