This submission builds on previous ones made recently by FAO including on issues related to the Gender Action Plan and the Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture. As guardians of biodiversity, indigenous peoples hold vast traditional knowledge and play pivotal role in contributing to climate actions. As mandated by Decision 2/CP.24, paragraph 23, in this submission, FAO proposes the following activities to support the implementation of the three functions of the LCIPP, namely: knowledge; capacity for engagement; and climate change policy and actions.
· The submission Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture (Decision 4/CP.23) describes the support FAO can offer to Parties to ensure effective development and implementation of the decision.
