This partnership aims to enhance agri-food trade competitiveness in developing and least developed countries (LDCs) by supporting the introduction of electronic phytosanitary certificates, or ePhytos, by adopting the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) ePhyto Solution. This will make trade simpler, faster, and more cost-effective while strengthening plant health protection procedures and consumer safety.
The Alliance is led by the Center for International Private Enterprise, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the World Economic Forum, in cooperation with Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and is funded by the governments of the United States, Canada, Germany, and Denmark.

FAO and The Pew Charitable Trusts agreed to promote their common objectives of the long-term conservation and sustainable use of aquatic resources. Through this joint collaboration, more states will be assisted to effectively implement measures and improve their monitoring, control and surveillance of fishing operations in order to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

FAO and the World Economic Forum (WEF) intend to explore collaboration in several areas of common interest such as enhancing public-private sector dialogue for increased investment, engaging and leading a data and digital coalition, and promoting work towards inclusive, efficient, sustainable and healthy agrifood systems, including through support to food innovation hubs.

FAO and the WUWM will focus on reducing food loss and waste and improving food markets and distribution systems. The partnership will carry out joint initiatives, activities and programmes in the following areas of cooperation: knowledge development and knowledge sharing; dissemination of good practices; awareness and advocacy; and promotion of capacity development to reduce food loss and waste (FLW) and the organization of and participation in joint events.
