This partnership aims to enhance agri-food trade competitiveness in developing and least developed countries (LDCs) by supporting the introduction of electronic phytosanitary certificates, or ePhytos, by adopting the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) ePhyto Solution. This will make trade simpler, faster, and more cost-effective while strengthening plant health protection procedures and consumer safety.   The Alliance is led by the Center for International Private Enterprise, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the World Economic Forum, in cooperation with Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and is funded by the governments of the United States, Canada, Germany, and Denmark.
