17 April 2017, Al Hudaydah, Yemen - After the dairy factory where she worked was bombed , Nawal Abdo, 28, started her own dairy production enterprise. As well as providing jobs for local women, she also gives her two children milk to help them grow up healthy and strong. FAO project OSRO/YEM/504/EC: Enhanced Rural Resilience in Yemen. It is funded by the EC and its overall objective is to enhance the resilience and self-reliance of crisis-affected rural communities through support to livelihoods stabilization and recovery, local governance and improved access to sustainable energy.
