Bilateral meeting with the Minister for Municipality of the State of Qatar - H.E. Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie

Rome - Today the FAO Director General met with H.E. Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie, Minister for Municipality of the State of Qatar on the margins of the 43rd Session of the FAO Conference.

The Director General welcomed the Minister to FAO expressing his appreciation for the ongoing efforts in the State of Qatar to transform agrifood systems and implement climate change actions.

Tehe Minister for Municipality appreciated FAO’s continued leadership in supporting its Members, including through FAO flagship initiatives such as the Hand-in-Hand and the One Country One Priority Product (OCOP).

The Director-General and H.E the Minister agreed to further strengthen their cooperation, including through the consideration of funding mechanisms such as Unilateral Trust Funds. They also committed to consolidating cooperation, focusing on areas such as innovation, climate change, and water management.
