Bilateral meeting with the Minister for Agriculture and Food of Portugal – H.E. Maria Do Céu Antunes

Rome - Today the FAO Director-General, QU Dongyu, met at FAO headquarters in Rome with H.E. Maria Do Céu Antunes, Minister for Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Portugal.
The Director-General thanked the Minister for the long-standing partnership between FAO and Portugal, and for sharing the technical expertise of Portugal with FAO and its Members.
The pair also recalled their meeting in Lisbon on 1 July 2022, during the United Nations Ocean Conference, which provided a unique opportunity to build momentum for the realization of the 2030 Agenda, and in particular SDG2 and SDG14.
The pair discussed ways to jointly promote sustainable agrifood systems around the world for better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life, leaving no one behind.
