Bilateral meeting with H.E. Amir Mohyuddin, Additional Secretary for Agriculture of Pakistan

Rome - During the World Food Forum (WFF) 2024 at FAO headquarters in Rome, FAO Director-General QU Dongyu met with H.E. Amir Mohyuddin, Additional Secretary for Agriculture of Pakistan.
The Director-General welcomed the Additional Secretary to FAO and expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s participation in the WFF. He thanked Pakistan for its longstanding support to FAO and encouraged the Pakistani government to further strengthen its collaboration in particular through FAO's country office.
The Additional Secretary thanked the Director-General for the opportunity to meet and emphasized the significant role that mangoes and rice play in Pakistan’s agricultural economy, noting their high value. He outlined Pakistan's focus on improving processing, storage, and value addition in agriculture and highlighted the importance of working closely with the FAO country office in Pakistan for technical support.
The Additional Secretary also thanked FAO for its consistent support and expressed Pakistan's ambition to expand the market share of its livestock and dairy sectors. He further reiterated the strong relationship between the Pakistani government and FAO and looked forward to deepening cooperation in the future.
